![]() I played through the entire game, all bosses, with a war cry build. guardian swordspear), not ideal for light weapons - initial startup does not seem to have hyper armor for a few frames (meaning you can’t just throw this out when an attack is about to hit you) - the weapon buff only affects the physical damage of the weapon - less effective on dual damage types need a strong 1H weapon to make trades worth it (i.e. much less useful once you’re low enough HP to be one-shot since your dmg comes out second - hitbox is sometimes janky (particularly on curved GS) - counterplayed by good players with a ranged punish - 2 uncharged R2’s will typically drain ~70%+ of your stamina and will often leave you unable to roll with bad stamina management. Keep in mind ppl are more reluctant to trade into colossals -Consumes minimal FP throughout a fight CONS: - much of the utility comes from trading, typically you’ll eat ~ 500 dmg to deal ~1000, not for lighter builds due to lack of absorption. Is a true combo on colossal great swords R2 -> R1. Also very successful on slower weapons to bait a trade (great curvedswords hit for around 1K uncharged on 800 AR, can roll catch from stagger) -The first hit is slow, but the second hit comes out faster and can typically bait people into trading into it. Works best on halberds and lances (2 thrusts, each uncharged counterhits for 1400+ on ~750 AR, roar medallion + spear talisman). Significant damage boost with roar medallion. ![]() Covers significant ground on charged, but is typically easily dodged. Significant hyper armor but not infinite (can tank a colossal R1 but not dual-wield jump L1). Pros and tips: -Works ONE HANDED (if you are using 2H Braggart’s Roar is mostly superior) -40s uptime means you can simultaneously use a shield AOW in offhand like parry. Adds a lot of utility and threat to a melee focused build. One of the strongest PVP AOW - basically a 1-stage Stamp that gives your heavy attacks hyper armor (but no absorption).
